This personal website was established in 2025 to assist people to understand the man who is Bligh Williams.

It is to place fact around who he is and what Bligh stands for.

In a nutshell Bligh was born into a middle class working Australian family in Sydney, who’s parents were hoteliers.

He was educated in the Catholic education system and was bought up with Christian values though did not attend church each week.

He was taught the value of working and trying to make a difference not just for himself, but his dependents and the community as a whole.

Bligh was the first of his generation of the Williams family that graduated from University.

His experience of 35 years of work has been in the hospitality industry, liquor retail, construction, design, strategic planning, furniture procurement and relocation services.

Not everything has ended up “smelling like roses” and though sometimes things can “go to custard” he has never walked away from his obligations even when people advise he has no obligation except for a morale or social one.

At the age of 52, he has decided not to be bullied into situations either personally or commercially. He has also decided that you must do what you enjoy not what you have just been doing.

Bligh has also decided that beyond some interesting hospitality and strategic projects that there is a need to focus on the formation of a not-for-profit solely focused on research to cure pancreatic cancer.

This together with some other commercial and social issues, Bligh plans to lead a push for reform in a number of non regulated professional sectors and lobby government for some of the short comings in Australia that makes being entrepreneurial almost impossible, to stop the migration of Australians and their IP to overseas countries.
